Zena Hawley, Derby Telegraph, 23 May 2018: The arrest and subsequent Old Bailey trial of a Derby woman and her daughters charged with conspiring to poison the Prime Minister of the day was the stuff of modern-day tabloid journalism - such was the interest it aroused nationally.
But the fall-out from the case has haunted the family of Alice Wheeldon for decades and has led to a high profile campaign to have the conviction quashed after evidence emerged to suggest that the plot was part of a conspiracy on the part of MI5.
As one of the people remembered on the the eight cast-iron Made in Derby plaques, Alice is very much a part of the city's story, and one that is yet to be completed.
Her great granddaughter Chloe Mason travelled from Australia to be at the unveiling ceremony and said: "It was well worth the trip and the fight to clear Alice's name is still going on. We have more meetings with barristers, which hopefully will be a step nearer to the Court of Appeal. It is marvellous that Derby has acknowledged Alice in this way. I am very proud."
